Albi Marginata Tarakan

Betta albimarginata from Tarakan Island, North Kalimantan, Borneo. This mouthbrooding dwarf betta shares the same striking maroon/burgundy body and bold black-and-white fin seams as its Sebuku cousin, with subtle regional color variations that make each locale unique.

A beginner-friendly wild betta, reaching a maximum of 2 inches. Somewhat territorial but manageable in a well-planted species tank or peaceful community. Carnivorous — feed live or frozen foods such as daphnia, baby brine shrimp, and micro worms.

Care Parameters: Blackwater conditions, pH 4.0–6.5, temperature 74–80°F. Tannin-rich, soft water is essential for long-term health and breeding success.
